Domiciliary Physiotherapy Service

Home based physiotherapy may be necessary if a person’s condition or injuries prevents them from being able to travel to or access physiotherapy in a private or NHS clinic. Therefore, for some individuals, their physiotherapy needs are better met at home within their own environment.

The team at PEAK Physiotherapy is pleased to offer a Domiciliary Physiotherapy Service, enabling you to be seen by an experienced physiotherapist in the privacy and comfort of your own home.

Conditions that may require domiciliary physiotherapy assessment and / or treatment include:

  • Post-surgical fixation of fractures
  • Post-operative joint replacements
  • Injuries to the joints, muscles and / or other soft tissues
  • Arthritic conditions
  • Frequent falls, mobility or balance issues in the elderly
  • Adult Neurological conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis
  • Paediatric conditions such as multi-level trauma, complex injuries (including Case Managed children) and neurodevelopmental conditions

Domiciliary ServiceWe have highly-trained Physiotherapists, each working within their own areas of expertise and therefore, any individual requiring domiciliary physiotherapy will be directed to the most appropriate team and physiotherapist for their specific problems. Yorkshire Children’s Physiotherapy and Yorkshire Neuro Physiotherapy are two of the specialist branches of PEAK Physiotherapy, so we are able to offer not only the option of home-based musculoskeletal physiotherapy, but also the assessment and rehabilitation of babies, children and adults within their homes, school or Residential Home or Care Home.

All domiciliary physiotherapy appointments are arranged with the individual physiotherapist you will be seeing, therefore they are not booked in the usual manner through our central booking reception service. For any enquiries regarding domiciliary physiotherapy, please speak with the Clinical Director: Sarah Joice (07908 684441).

Please note that depending upon where you live there may be a nominal travel charge in addition to the cost of the physiotherapy session.
