NHS Walk-In Centre
Since December 2006, Peak Physiotherapy has provided the on-site physiotherapy consultancy service at the Headrow Commuter Walk-in Centre in Leeds city centre. The physiotherapy service forms an integral part of the Walk-in Centre multi-disciplinary team working closely with experienced Practice Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and GPs.
This is a free NHS physiotherapy service, available Monday-Thursday, offering 20-minute appointments during which patients will be assessed and given appropriate advice on management and treatment of their problem/injury.
Appointments can be made either by visiting the Walk-in Centre, or by telephoning the reception on 0870 8180003. No prior appointment with a GP or nurse is necessary. For more detailed directions see map at the foot of this page.
This is the only service in the region whereby a patient can refer themselves directly to a physiotherapist, without having to pay privately.
